if the green light of the adapter is on when only connected to the outlet, but goes off when also connected to the laptop shows, you have a short somewhere inside your laptop, most likely the internal power module.
a fix could be pretty expensive, in best case a new internal power module if it's dedicated, or in worst case a new mobo (i wouldn't recommend to replace the mobo, a new laptop isn't much more expensive).
