Customize your price and what you want here:-http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnlineSales/topics/global.aspx/arb/online/en/InventorySearch?c=us&cs=22&l=en&lob=INSP&MODEL_DESC=Inspiron%20Mini%209%20-%20910&s=dfh

Best affordable specs to look for when buying a new pc!

1. Processor:- amd athlon 64 dual core, amd turion 64 dual core, intel pentium dual core, intel dual core or intel core 2 duo. (preferrably intel core 2 duo or amd turion 64 dual core)

2. Hard drive:- 120gb, 160gb, 180gb and so on (buy according to price) (would go with 120gb or more)

3. Memory:- 2gb (windows vista basic), 3gb or more (windows vista premium), 4gb (maximum amount of memory most pcs can hold) (would go with 4gb)

4. Operating system:- windows vista premium (recommended) or windows vista basic (if cheaper for u)

5. Video:- ati radeon xpress 256mb hypermemory (amd pcs) and intel graphics media accelerator (intel pcs), (if you have the xtra money get a (128MB dedicated video card) instead of a onboard video card, really doesn't matter)

6. Optical drive:- dvd/rw-(plays cds, dvds and burns cds, dvds), cd/rw dvd combo -(plays cds, burns cds and only
plays dvds) (would go with dvd/rw)

7. Network:- internal wireless minicard (for broadband internet and wifi)

I would recommend you to check out ProCompare.com (http://procompare.com/top/notebooks). They have a recommendation engine that ranks laptops and other tech products based on ratings and reviews from a community of trusted IT professionals. They also have a cool personalization slider that lets you personalize the results based on the criteria that are most important to YOU.

Hope you'll find this answer useful...
