How to connect your Xbox 360 to your laptop for internet for Vista

These days with the internet being more widely used I decided to try and find a way to watch TV on Computers or Laptops. With the broadband speed increasing almost monthly there should be enough bandwith in any home broadband service to enable you to watch TV on Computers.

I decided to have a look about and see what was available on the market that would allow me to watch TV on Computers. My only stipulation was that the software I got had to have access to a few news channels like CNN or ESPN, also some cable shows and Sports channels that would allow me to watch live sports.

After a few days of searching there were numerous programs online that would allow me to do most of what I wanted. However I found a program that covered everything that I wanted, Satellite TV for PC, It would give me access to all the news channels a lot of cable TV and also they could get me a lot of the sports channels and Most of the PPV sports that normally cost $50 per show.

I decided to purchase this software, at $49 it was the price of 1 PPV event so I thought I couldn’t go wrong.

After I ourchased the software I was taken to a link where I could download the software. After I had downloaded it the install of it was just a couple of clicks and that was it good to go. I had a look through a lot of the channels. There was CNN, ESPN, FOX also CW was on it as well which has some of my favorite shows on it so I was thrilled.

The sports channels come from all over the world and at the weekend I even watched some English Football. Man Utd v Wigan The quality was great I didn’t have to strain to see the ball or anything . I hooked my laptop up to the plasma and it was just like watching a normal Channel.

In summary this software is more than worth the initial one off payment of $49 and I would have paid double that as now I can watch TV on Computers or Laptops if I am not in the house.

  3. I'm not sure it works like that. I think you need to run a usb cable between your modem and your xbox. If you are using wireless, you need a wireless adapter plugged into the usb port on the back of the 360.

  4. I don't know of anyone who has done this with Vista. Most people who have ICS working in this way have done it with Windows XP.

  5. best vid……….

  6. since you have wireless then yeah you can use internet through your wireless while you are connected to the xbox 360. just make sure your wireless is enabled and switched on and it should connect normally.

  9. Best bet is to go from router/modem directly to your console. Using your laptop as a router can be pretty confusing and potentially cause issues with connectivity.

i would not recommend doing this for just some songs

it gonna cost you around $150 and haven't even downloaded a song yet
be cheaper to buy song pack at stores but if your planinng on mutiplayer all the time then go ahead…

  11. Wirelessly connect your computer to your hub, then connect an ethernet cable from your computer to your xbox 360.

Go into manage network connections, select both of the connections, right-click, and choose bridge connections.

This will create a network bridge and allow your 360 to access the internet.

  12. omg what you mean he saved you cash? u didnt buy subscription lol

  14. In windows, just share your Wireless Connection and disable any software firewalls.

    Start–>Control Panel–>In Search Tab–>View Network Connections
Right click Wireless Network Connection and click properties
Click the Advanced tab and check Enable Internet Connection Sharing.

My friend's 360 and my old Xbox can tunnel to the WAN this way.
