HP PAVILION DV8000 Battery Tips:
Lithium ion notebook batteries normally offer 300 to 500+ charge/discharge cycles over one year of useful life. After over one year, the battery will end up with very low capacity and this renders the battery unusable. As soon as the battery leaves the production line it is likely to start losing it’s capacity. So How can you make your laptop battery last a long time?
- New laptop batteries generally arrive in a discharged state, so, before you use them first time, you had batter charge your hp pavilion dv8000 laptop batteries up for at least four hours.

So if you are using your notebook battery on your journey, try not to get in the habit of using the notebook battery until it has almost no charge.
- Make sure the vents in your the laptop are not blocked and the laptop does not overheat. Extreme heat causes the increases the self-discharge rate of the battery.
- When carrying the battery. Do not short circuit the terminals or store your battery pack with metal objects such as necklaces or hairpins.
- Don’t use the laptop battery unless you have to! Li-ion batteries degrade or deteriorate continuously it have a life of about 300-500+ recharge cycles or about one year, the battery will end up with very low capacity and this renders the battery unusable. Many people keep their laptop plugged in all the time, that’s not good.
- If your HP PAVILION DV8000 battery will not be in use it should be removed from your laptop and stored in an Anti-Static bag and in a dry, cool place. make sure it is has about 40 – 50% charge and it is highly recommended to circle it at least once a month.

Help answer the question about Laptop
Is it possible to switch my laptop computer to a new laptop computer case and screen?I have a new laptop with a broken screen, and I have an old laptop that is terribly slow but the screen works. Is it possible to take my new laptop and put all of the hardware into the old laptop so I can use that screen? I can't return my laptop and I don't want to use an external monitor. Thanks.

it higher current, not voltage
wow for $70 make your self blind! what a cheap person you are!!!!!!!!
No, you want higher current. The voltage has to be the same for it to work. Ordinarry bateries say on the side the amount of current they can provide for one hour. So 1630mA will run a 500mA circuit for about 3 hours

yeah this would be good to consider..IF THE VIDEO WASN’T SPRINTED THROUGH!! X_X
No. The best possible thing you can do is take the battery out when you’re not using it. Even when you’re using your laptop at home and you have it plugged into the mains, you don’t need your battery then, so you can take it out. Then when you take your laptop somewhere away from mains power, your battery will be perfectly fresh and fully charged.
o sht mine exploded lol
Hello,
Use the correct recharging procedure for your laptop. Only use the power cord that came with your laptop or an authorized replacement.
Follow correct maintenance for your battery when not in use. Don't leave it in direct sunlight, areas where it will be exposed to extreme temperatures such as car trunks.
Use your laptop's power management features. The system will run at lower processor speeds when enabling power management features and it will go into "sleep" mode faster when inactive.
Buy batteries with internal processors such as Li-Ion batteries.
Non Li-Ion batteries must be fully discharged and then recharged every 2-3 weeks.
If you don't use your laptop for a period of time, you must fully discharge then recharge the battery.
.Dont leave any disk in the disk drive if not using any. Also depending on the program, for example, games draw tremendously more power just like playing a video would draw more power.

Higher voltage capacity, longer it runs.
