Windows Xp Registry Tweaks - Three Easy Windows Xp Registry Tweaks

The Windows registry is the lifeblood of our system.  It contains information to run all software and hardware.  The registry can be directly correlated with the speed and performance of our computer.  This is why it is a good idea to occasionally execute some Windows XP registry tweaks to keep it performing at a high level.  There is also registry cleaner software available which can automatically perform the tweaks for you.

trong>Remove startup programs that are not needed or used.  When we delete or uninstall programs the registry files for those programs remain.  When you start your computer the Windows XP registry will process that information and it will slow the computer down and possibly cause Windows error messages.  Go into your registry and remove those useless entries.

Repair corrupt Windows registry files.  You would be shocked by how many errors there are in your Windows registry.  I always recommend going in there and repairing broken paths, application files, and DLL’s.  For non computer experts the best method is to use a Windows XP registry cleaner to do this for you.

Clean up registry files that are useless or redundant.  There are tons of information in our registries that can be cleared out.  These useless files do nothing but cause major congestion in the registry and work to slow your down computer.  Again I recommend Windows XP registry cleaners to remove these files for you.

The best way to perform Windows XP registry tweaks is with a registry cleaner.  The registry is very sensitive and if you are not an expert you can cause some serious damage.  Fortunately I have found what I consider the best Windows XP registry cleaner on the market.  You can perform all of these registry tweaks in literally minutes.  Not only will your computer run faster, you can also avoid the Windows blue screen and other corrupt Windows error messages.  Scan your computer for free below.

Help answer the question about Windows XP

How can i remove windows xp from my laptop and reinstall windows Me -the laptops original software?
I have recently bought a used laptop that is old. The person I had bought it from had installed windows xp on it, even though it originally came with windows Me. I want to remove the windows xp because it runs slows on the laptop because it takes up more memory than the windows Me would. Also I want to remove windows xp because it is an illegal copy. So when I tried to run updates on it, windows would not install updates because the windows xp is not genuine.

  1. what does he say type treese i dont understand

  2. ok if you say so

  3. Some people have two partitions so that if the system is infected with a virus the data in the second partition won't be infected.
Also, some people have *three* partitions with one XP, one Linux and one FAT partition that both systems can read.

  4. when you start your computer, put the disk in and when it comes up saying "searching for boot from cd rom, etc" it should read the disk and say press any key to boot from cd rom, hit enter and follow what it tells you to do. Good luck and hope this helps

  5. I would suggest a full system restore replacing the Windows XP with the correct version of Windows ME. As explained from other members here, insert the system recovery disks if you have these and follow the instructions. This will completely remove all existing Windows XP profiles and will restore your laptop back to factory state after a full system restore.

It is also very likely that your laptop is not capable of working with Windows XP as a result of insufficient system resources on your laptop which is one reason why your laptop is not preforming at its optimum proficiency.

  6. Nope. XP kind of sucks that way. It ONLY recognizes drivers on floppy disks during installation. The only alternative would be to slipstream the service packs and drivers onto a copy of XP. Use this free program called nLite for that. (WARNING: Not easy for novices)

fun in college. Already knew this shit. Failure video is FAILURE.

  8. they're called tabs… on your taskbar… not toolbars… but, you have to close them all individually or all at once by right clicking and selecting "close group":… if you just want to minimize them… click on an empty section of your task bar and you can select "show the desktop"

OH and if you're using the internet… may I suggest tab browsing… Internet explorer now has it… and firefox has always had it… In internet explorer go to "tools" and select internet options. then in the general tab select "settings" next to "tabs" and enable tabs. that way, all of your windows will be organized for you at the top of your screen, and you can close all tabs at once if you wish.

  9. OEM has little to no support, can only be used with one computer, and costs less.

Retail has full support, can be used with more than one computer, but costs a lot more.

i personally go with retail, just because if you are upgrading your computer then windows has a chance of thinking you have a different computer when something new is installed.

oem is good for single builds. that is why it is included with most brand name computers like Dell, Gateway, HP, etc. pre-installed.

  10. FLAGED

  11. Lol.

  12. XP licenses are technically only allowed to be installed twice: once on your laptop and once on your desktop. Anything other than that is a legal violation. If XP has not been activated twice already then you shouldn't have any problems with the activation key.

  13. Yeah since your not a administrator.

  14. WgA validation go to this http://www.microsoft.com/Genuine/ and click validate windows

  15. The is so funny .
First of all, the trace route command don’t give you the ip of example google. It tries to find the number of jumps to the host(google in this case) and give you ip’s on those jumps if it found any.

Second, Shutdown a computer on the WAN with cmd ? . Naver ! .the shutdown command only works locally, and is LAN disabled by default as of XP service pack 2.

    Nice try.

  16. Right click on your desktop, go down to "Properties," select the "Appearance" tab, and there should be a couple drop-down boxes for you to click on and change the appearance from "Windows Classic" to "Windows XP Theme" and then the box under it is different colors.

  17. One thing I don’t think he is saying he is hacking google. He is pinging google to find IP adresses. He is going to shut down a computer using one of the IP adresses that came back to his computer.

  18. i got this message: ***.**.**.**: The entered computer name is not valid or remote shutdown is not s
upported on the target computer. Check the name and then try again or contact yo
    ur system administrator.(53) HELPPPP PLEASEASE
